A smallish relative of mine is called Silas. I love it, he suits it and he is lovely! Sal for short.

Not keen. They're always mean as characters (although Silas Marner redeemed himself) but the Dan Brown one didn't. And that one I've not heard of up thread sounds mean too.

So that'd be a no from me. (And that's if I've remembered properly!)

I quite like it. I don't watch holloaks but was there a villain in something else called Silas? Was it that superhero thing with Haydn Pannetiere?

I completely love it, despite bad memories of Silas Marner at school.

Have never seen Hollyoaks.
