Surname will be Leeming.

Is the alliteration too much?

Both names are beautiful. The double L is a little clumsy, but it's in no way awful. They're good choices.

Fya (fire) could be a cool nn for Raphaella. It's intuitive if you pronounce the name 'Raph-eye-Ella'. Is it supposed to be 'Rapha-yella'? I'm never sure. It's my favourite of the two anyhow, and it avoids the double lee sound. But I don't think you can go wrong.

Raphaelia isn't to my taste but I think it works well - Romilly Raphaelia is certainly a name with presence

Personally I think both names are beautiful, but do feel like a mouthful.

And I hate to say it, but the double L sound with both sounds a mouthful with your surname.

Raines nobody in either family is named Raphaela so that's not the reason that I keep coming back to it, fact is I really do like it a lot.
Unfortunately I have a real aversion to the name Ella/Ellie and it's somewhat inevitable that it will be shortened to this at least when she starts school. This really puts me off using it as a first name, I also like Romilly lots but similarly I dislike Romy although that particular NN is probably less intuitive than Ella for Raphaella.

It's definitely between these two names in any case and I may just have to remain undecided until I can set eyes upon this baby (who may yet still be a boy) 😂

She'll mainly be known as Romilly Leeming which I don't think flows very well and is hard to say.

Ellen what's the story with Raphaela? You keep coming back to it. Are you set on it as a middle name, perhaps to honour a family member, or are you in love with this name and need someone to point it out? Smile

Raphaela is beautiful and much nicer and more feminine than Romilly, so I'd use that as first name.

Prefer Romanie to Romilly - but my main concern is if she grows up with a slight speech defect, and can't pronounce R (like Jonathan Woss).

I've never liked Romilly (it sounds like a weird adjective or something) but I like Raphaela.

Romilly is cool, Raphaela isn't really to my taste but I think the name as a whole works well. RR Leeming has a certain ring to it too.
