Thoughts on these names?

I THINK we like these as first names: Abel
Atticus
Ivan
Otis
Luther

Potential middle names or names I like but have been vetoed:
Valiant
Valour
Valentine
True
Rohan
Zion
Zephan
Art
Cass? Cassius? Cassian? Caspar?
Red
Orion
Phoenix
Boyd

Can you expand or reduce this list!?!

I really like Caspar. Also as a first name.

Ivan and Atticus are nice.
I don't like Luther and I hate Abel. Genuinely hate it. (Sorry, OP)

Sorry, that should have said "I don't think middle names are all that terribly important"!

Also think of To Kill a Mockingbird with Atticus, which I love. I haven't actually read it but I think Atticus Finch goes bad in the sequel though? Offputting, if the character is the reason you like the name.

I love Atticus as it makes me think of To Kill a Mockingbird. Luther is also quite cool.

Middle name -whatever sounds best with surname really. Unless it's a family name, I don't think surnames are all that terribly important. That said, I am partial to Valentine! Abel Valentine might sound odd though, like he's an able valentine .

The second list looks like a line up for a relaunch of Gladiators.

I like Atticus and Ivan the best (although they clearly don't go together very well).

Sorry, it was Rohan Red that's a little Farrow and Ball though - is Rohan pronounced the same as Rowan, or like Ro - HAN?

Rowan is nice, and so is Rohan if the emphasis is on the first syllable with a silent 'h'.

Red Rohan sounds like he could go on a quest to the land of Mordor.

Raphael is a lovely name. Naming boys is hard.

This is my order of preference:

Atticus (love!)
Otis (love!)
Abel (love!)
Ivan (Don't love quite as much, but it's really cool!)
Luther (this is the only one I'm not keen on)

I also LOVE Phoenix, Rohan, and Cassius (which is going to be our soon to be born DS's middle name)

First list is ok, Otis is a great name ;)
I personally dont think you should pick a name your partner has vetoed... you cant make someone like a name. A lot of names I liked were vetoed.
With both our boys we went for a slightly unusual/not common first name and a 'normal' name ffor middle, so they can swap it later in life if they like.
Boty love their names now :)
Good luck, naming your kid is super hard, but they all grow into them eventually.

.. and definitely don't use Red as a first name with Orion as a second name as it will look like a cooking ingredient. (Well it would on a small phone screen ).

First list is good second list is, umm, not so good.

BTW is Valour a reference to Pokemon Go's Team Valor? You have also included Red which is Team Valors colour
