Do you think Bailey is too feminine? This has been a favourite of mine for years but DH is insistent that it is a girls name, though I have only come across when girl named Bailey and that was on Educating Yorkshire.

Boys name in my opinion, known one boy named Bailey.
But also my dogs name. Hear a few dogs being called it so too doggy for me.

It makes me think of the alcohol or the Old Bailey. I'm not a fan. I would also assume it was a girls' name.

reminds me of the horrible, sickly sweet drink drunk at xmas. I expect it'll do the same for their peers when teenagers.

First thing I think of is 'dogs name '. I prefer it for a boy to a girl.

I think of it as a boy's name. My reference for it is the boy from 'party of five'. Which is now a really old kids tv show!

I've never met anyone called it except dogs in real life.

I know male and female baileys. If you choose it do spell it properly, not Bayley or Bayleigh Hmm

Only known one and she was a girl. For me it's a surname and a dogs name so I don't like it for boys or girls tbh.

I know one of each, both teenagers now. Not a name I'd pick personally because I'm not keen on the surname as first name thing but I think it's fine for either sex.
