Not having a baby and I don't know anyone who's currently expecting, I was just curious on what people thought of the name Nancy.

I really like it, think it fits at all ages and is a classic.

It's a beaut.

Oh, and Nancy Spungeon hasn't done the name any favours. But she won't pop into most peoples' minds immediately.

It'd go down like a lead balloon where I'm from, because it's still seen as very old-ladyish (as are Martha, Edith etc). But I think you could get away with it at the moment in the UK easily. You're ahead of the revival curve there.

Personally, I knew a bag of a woman named Nancy. She chain-smoked, beat her children with a paddle, and could've rivaled the Hunchback of Notre Dame with her hunch back, so it's clouded by that for me.

But someone suggested Nancy Ramona on here a while back and, for some reason, I looove that.
