Leo, Seth or Kit?

Which on is best? I love them all but have small reservation about all three

Leo - really popular. Is this an issue? Can't decide. My name is very common in my age group and I find it boring.
Seth - he will have a sister with a name that starts with S too. Will it be a mouthful? Also is it geeky?
Kit - had a previous thread on this. My name is Cat. I love Kit but there was mixed opinion on whether this is advisable!

What do you think out of the 3? Or if you like them too can you suggest an even better 4th name?

Leo.

Like Kit as a nickname but not as real name.

SausageSoda · 08/11/2016 17:01

Don't like Kit at all but love both Seth and Leo. Probably Seth if I had to pick - don't think it's nerdy at all

Onenerfwarfrombreakdown · 08/11/2016 09:24

Leo definitely!

Kit is ok but very "trendy" due to GoT, I would say round here anyway more likely to have other Kits in his class than Leo's!

Seth, don't like. Makes me think of serial killers. Don't know why. Must google that, find out if there's an actual link I've read at some point for that association to always pop up in my mind!

petitdonkey · 08/11/2016 09:16

Love Seth but, in the area I live, it would be pronounced Seff by so many people that I thought it would drive me nuts!

Kit is lovely but very 'now'.
Leo is classic and timeless so would get my vote.

groovygreenwichgirl · 08/11/2016 09:13

Seth

DramaAlpaca · 07/11/2016 23:40

My favourite is Leo.

Kit is fine as a nickname for Christopher.

I don't like Seth, I find it lispy and slithery for some reason Confused

justtowarm · 07/11/2016 23:36

Seth or kit both will be a cool kid :)

AgainPlease · 07/11/2016 23:11

Kit is probably my fave but if your name is Cat, is advise against it.

So in that case I'd go for Leo

HurricaneSwallows · 07/11/2016 23:09

Leo!

ViewBasket · 07/11/2016 22:00

Yes, they might prefer to be a Chris.

Interestingangelfish · 07/11/2016 21:58

Kit is, as others have said, short for a Christopher, so if you love it why not use Christopher as the actual name, and then the child can choose which of the different variants they want to use as they get older?

I also always think Leo is short for something (Leonard? Leopold?). Again, I would actually use one of the longer versions, to give more options.

All three names are nice.

Love Kit! I once new a man named Kit and he was one of the nicest men I'd ever met, a true gent

Muddlingalongalone · 07/11/2016 21:55

Seth is my fave boys name ever. I have 2 x dd's so won't ever use it but always recommend it on baby names thread.
Haven't met one since I was at school with one either

ViewBasket · 07/11/2016 21:53

Leo, then Seth.

Not a fan of Kit.

Blu · 07/11/2016 19:51

Kit: great - but not with Cat
Leo - lovely, but I would have slight reservations over putting that with Cat, too.
Seth: v cool (Seth Lakeman), less good with a sister with an S name, perhaps.

The answer is for you to change your name Wink

Pluto30 · 07/11/2016 19:36

I don't like Seth. Seth Rogan comes to mind. Also, it'd be a nightmare for anyone with a lisp.

Kit is fine if you have a last name like Harrington, because it flows. But I don't think it works with most last names. Short for Christopher, it's fine.

Love Leo.

RiverTam · 07/11/2016 19:33

hello Kit Harrington is indeed in GoT. Pretty rather than handsome, I would say. I preferred Robb Stark myself.

Ilovewillow · 07/11/2016 19:12

I have a three yr old Seth, he's not at all nerdy but a very cool laid back little boy - I know what you mean though! I love Leo too!

Sophronia · 07/11/2016 18:57

Leo

wineapotamus · 07/11/2016 18:32

Kit! Kit! Kit!
I love kit. This bump will be kit if a boy. I'm a Kate and don't care if it sounds weird to some people. He'll be an independent person lots longer than you're going round with him to baby sensory etc.

MrsGsnow18 · 07/11/2016 18:21

I actually love Seth!
Kit is an awesome name but I remember your other thread and I just can't advise you to be Kit-cat together.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 07/11/2016 18:19

Leo.

lizzieoak · 07/11/2016 16:22

I like Kit, but would snickering about Kit & Cat get wearing?

Leo is a great name, but yes very popular. How do you feel about Leon?

I like Seth. Makes me think of Seth Rogan who seems a decent person (if naff sense of humour). My DS has a friend named Seth who seems a great kid.

hellowembley · 07/11/2016 16:22

is Kit Harrington in game of thrones? is he handsome? obviously my son will be extraordinarily good looking too Wink
Looks like people like Leo best with some love for Kit...which I also love, but kind of agree it sounds stupid given my name. Thanks for replying!!
