Edward on BC.

He'll be known by Woody though. Thoughts?

I thought this wa a joke thread, you can't call your child the slang name for an erection , why would anyone do that?

There's one in my ds2s class, don't know if its short for Edward I just presumed woody was the whole name! I think of toy story hadn't thought of the erection thing

Stick to Edward in its entirety, it's lovely. Woody (I also thought erection) is not.

I know someone who put Woody on the BC, followed by the middle name William. Shock That poor child! It could be a cute nickname but I'd definitely keep it off the BC as it screams 'erection' to me as well.

Well as it's not on his BC you could try it out but I don't like it. Would suit toddler to about 10 but not an older child/adult.

I came on to say no but then saw Edward on bc. Yes, love it! Love Woody but needs a more grown up option so Edward is perfect as an alternative. Awww baby Woody Smile

I know a 30ish yr old one too. In my neck of the woods it means hard-on, but it's still a nice name.

An acquaintance chose this very recently and all I could think was 'you really fancy yourself as being pretty cool, don't you'?

Mind you that was as actual birth certificate name.

Not so bad as a NN only, but I'm still not a fan.

It's ok, but I think 'erection'. Also, I read Zoe Ball called her son it as a kind of joke, short for 'Would he fuck'.

As much as I love Zoe, I think that's a horrible way to name a baby, so it put me off the name.
