Kylee?

I have started working with a little Kylee, which I originally pronounced Kai-Leigh (Kai as in the name, so sounds like eye)...

My goodness, her mother was fuming. Apparently I'm stupid Hmm anyway, she says it's said as Key-Leigh.

How would you have pronounced it?

I would say Kylie (as in Minogue) but with possibly a longer eeeeeeee sound on the end to make it sound extra naff!

Dozer · 20/10/2016 16:44

It's a made up, tacky name that most people will pronounce as kylie.

If she wanted Key-Leigh, then it would have been better to spell it like Keeley Hawes (who, on googling, appears to be called Claire Julia)

I would have said Kylie, as in Minogue.

DropZoneOne · 20/10/2016 16:42

I'd have pronounced it the same as you, Kylie.

If you want a pronunciation of Keylee then bloody spell it Keylee. Poor child, destined for a lifetime of correcting the spelling and pronunciation of their name.

Dozer · 20/10/2016 16:38

Kylie.

Poor kid.

AuntieStella · 20/10/2016 16:36

I'd have assumed it was a variant spelling of Kylie and would have pronounced it same way as Minogue does.

ByeByeLilSebastian · 20/10/2016 16:35

Kylie.
It's a stupid name though, poor kid.
