Love NO boy names :(

24 weeks pregnant with dc1. Before finding out the sex I had a huge list of girl names and no boy names at all. I just can't find any boy names that I like, never mind love Hmmgirl names are so beautiful and easy to shortlist, why is finding a boy name so hard! Sad

Some boy names that I think are OK
-Leo
-Toby
-Freddie
-Arthur
-Harrison

Still all seem so dull to me. Thinking of using a name that could be used for a boy or a girl. Suggestions on this could be helpful.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Leo and Toby are two of my favourites!

I also like:
Max (prefer Maxim to Maximilian)
Eli / Elijah
Ezra

But I would vote for Toby Smile

Benedict? Close to Benjamin but different enough.
Dexter

Francis (unisex but this is the male spelling)
Taylor (also unisex)

Also the same. Between DH and I there is only one name we like, and it's...James. Ho hum. We are really struggling!

buckyou · 20/10/2016 15:56

I'm 24 weeks as well and feeling similar to you. We seem to have settled on Arthur Joseph at the moment but I don't love it.

PipersPiping · 20/10/2016 15:53

Elliott is my all time favourite boys name, also love Cameron.

phoebe2016 · 20/10/2016 15:42

I absolutely love Bear. If I do have a boy then that shall be his name :)

groovygreenwichgirl · 20/10/2016 15:40

Oh if you want unisex names what about Ellis? I know a girl and a boy called this.

Floralnomad · 20/10/2016 15:19

Gideon

Madison is definitely a girls name .

groovygreenwichgirl · 20/10/2016 15:07

Love Leo, Toby and Arthur from your list.

What do you think about: Theo, Noah, Jonah, Ezra, Caleb?

hoddtastic · 20/10/2016 13:50

Madison is a girls name and IMO it's a bit meh.

Harrison is awful.

mumwithatum · 20/10/2016 13:25

I was the same when we had ds2.
We found some names that we agreed that we liked that were ok but nothing that we really wanted. We had a girls name pretty easily. In the end we found a name about 4 weeks before he was born by going through top 100 names in U.K , USA and Australia.
When we had ds1 and dd we found the names that we wanted straight away, so I was starting to panic a bit. Best of luck!!! Xxxx

Throwing in the last 2 to highlight the difference between the longer and the shorter to see how you feel.

Niks2026 · 20/10/2016 13:01

I like two: Jasper and Greyson. And I'm not in love with those. Going to be very hard naming baby!

I find myself watching credits of films and programs to see if I like any names Smile
