Baby boy due in January and these are names DH and I both like. Opinions? Suggestions?

Felix. I would have loved to use it myself.

Jacks are ten a penny and I've never liked Charlie.

Jack. I have one! Strangely not that popular here (cambridgeshire). For two years my Jack was the only Jack in his school. Now there is one other but tons of Harry's, Williams and Oliver's! I wouldn't let popularity put you off a name, it can be regional.

Another vote for Felix Smile it's top of our list for DS2 due in December. I was concerned about the cat connotations too but it seems to be becoming a bit more common for that not to be a problem (but not enough so he'll be 1 of 10 in his class!

And as far as the cat thing goes, I used to have a cat called Charlie, so that's the cat name to me!

Felix

I've wanted a Felix for years, ever since reading Georgette Heyer's Frederica, fully expected DH to veto it - he didn't but was unsure then after a week or so said it was really growing on him. Charlie he likes more than me, and Jack we both like. Thing is Jack was a contender for the boy we lost last year so that makes it a bit more difficult IYSWIM.

I hate naming babies, it's really hard! DD has a top 20 name and that's never bothered me but we've never actually encountered another child with her name.

There are so many Jacks about but it is a nice name.

Round here Charlie is a bit 'chav' unfortunately.

Felix is nice.

Every other boy under the age of 5 round my way seems to be called Jack or Charlie. They were once very nice names now i just do an inward imaginary yawn. I really like Felix - I did originally think cat when I first heard it last year but it's grown on me massively

CakeRattleandRoll · 17/10/2016 15:32

Felix. Definitely.

Jack

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/10/2016 15:05

Jack.

KoalaDownUnder · 17/10/2016 14:57

Charlie. Love it.

Chinlo · 17/10/2016 14:56

I LOVE Felix. I wanted it for our son but OH vetoed it.

I also like Jack a lot, despite its popularity.

Not a fan of Charlie.

MrsHathaway · 17/10/2016 14:18

Jack and Charlie are used a lot. Felix is much less common - as in popular, though I think it would be easier to wear in a leafy prep than an inner city comp.

DC2 was nearly Charlie but I went off it at the last minute.

Jack or Charlie

backonitonmonday · 17/10/2016 14:14

Jack is nice, so's Charlie.

Felix is a cat.
