I really love the name Camilla but I'm worried it sounds awful with our surname. Are they just go similar?

Reminds me of the peru drug mule Michaela Mccollum-Connoly, i remember thinking did no one try sounding her names out first?

Don't do it!

ShmooBooMoo · 16/10/2016 11:30

Camille Miller?

Move2yorkshire · 16/10/2016 11:24

Carmel Miller?

I love Emmeline Miller (slightly biased though)
My next favorites is Antigone, but I agree that she'll have a life of mispronouncing and misspelling trouble.
Theodora is also lovely, with plenty of nn options.
How about Clara?

KoalaDownUnder · 16/10/2016 02:57

Astrid is lovely.

Or Asta. I know I said no -a names

jayisforjessica · 16/10/2016 02:48

There's still Camden and Cameron if you're stuck on Cammie for a NN.

Otherwise... Camilla Miller is something akin to naming her Seymour Buttz. You're just going to set her up to be mocked mercilessly for life, sorry.

Theodora is pretty! She could be Teddy for short, like the character on Grey's Anatomy.

Redheadsreallyrock · 16/10/2016 01:56

What about Octavia?

TheOldestCat · 16/10/2016 01:51

Beth Miller? Beautiful. As is Astrid and Elizabeth. Emmeline too many Ls and Ms with Miller I think.

Buntysoven · 16/10/2016 01:48

Emmeline Miller sounds gorgeous.

Shurelyshomemistake · 15/10/2016 21:44

Amandine?
But I like your other suggestions, too.

MelCookie · 15/10/2016 21:40

Absolutely love all the names you suggested - except Astrid. Antigone and Emmeline especially fab.

Angelto5 · 15/10/2016 21:37

Evangeline Miller sounds lovely.

BarInSpace · 15/10/2016 21:33

I like Theodora and Emmeline, although Emmeline has the M and L letters which would repeat in your surname.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/10/2016 20:02

Me too, also love Astrid.

Move2yorkshire · 15/10/2016 19:47

I do love Tiggy as a nickname.

OP posts:
HardcoreLadyType · 15/10/2016 19:46

I also like Astrid and Emmeline.

HardcoreLadyType · 15/10/2016 19:43

Antigone is fab! Tiggy for short.

Move2yorkshire · 15/10/2016 19:41

I don't think I like Carmen. Or Camille.
Other names we have considered are Astrid, Elizabeth and Emmeline

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 15/10/2016 17:47

How about Carmen Miller, could still call her Cammie !

KoalaDownUnder · 15/10/2016 14:58

No, absolutely not Camilla! Is Camille an option?

I don't think any name ending in '-a' sounds good with Miller, I'm afraid.

Theodora is great.

Chinlo · 15/10/2016 14:02

Theodora is muuuch nicer than Antigone.

Haffdonga · 15/10/2016 14:00

Agree, not Camilla.

Think through abbreviations she'll end up with for the other two names. Theodora can be Teddy, Thea, Dora (all lovely) but Antigone doesn't really shorten (Anti? Gonny? Actually Tiggy would work.)

Friolero · 15/10/2016 13:53

I like Theodora
