However in Scotland we pronounce "r" so no, it doesn't sound the same.

Do you think Henry Porter would be okay? We were unsure about using Henry NN Harry, so we obviously love Henry too (but won't force Harry NN)

Porter doesn't sound the same as Potter in my accent but I do think it's a bit close. Sorry.
