DS's second name will be David, and he gets our two surnames.

Wondering about first name Robert - have some reasons for calling DS that, and some reasons against.

Suggestions for similar names that would go with David?
We also like Richard but it's too much of a mouthful with David.

Excellent, thanks everyone. Thinking of calling him Robbie to start with and we'll see if that morphs into Rob or Bobby or Bob later on.

Wow, lots of love for Robert on here today!
I love it too and don't know any little ones at all (in England), so it's one of those rare names which is well known, easy to spell and yet unusual at the same time. result!
