These are our final names,but don't know how to decide. Thomas or Matthias?

Matthias is lovely. Unusual in the UK without being weird.

Thomas is wallpaper.

They are both great names but I love Matthias and it's so much more unusual. I slightly prefer it pronounced the German way but either way is nice.

People rarely call their DC by their full name, so think about whether you prefer Tom or Matt. There's a local Mattius who gets called Tius (tee-us) I love it.

Thomas is nice, Matthias is great (and more interesting IMO). I'm a bit surprised that people are so shocked/baffled by it!
