We are expecting a baby girl and really love the name Madison. Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If I ever have another child and it's a girl, Madison (Maddie) is the name I would be using.

So a thumbs up from me! I think it's quite feminine sounding.

midsomermurderess · 08/10/2016 18:17

Why suggest an entirely different name? Is it because it begins with an M? These answers always baffle me. Madeleine and Madison are entirely different kinds of name. Is it likely the op will say, oh yes Madeleine, why didn't I think of that?

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/10/2016 18:04

And Madeleine won't?

It's not a huge favourite with me, but I very heard MUCH worse, OP. If you like it, that's the important thing Smile

Dozer · 08/10/2016 17:58

I like it, but prefer Madeline. Will inevitably be shortened to Maddie.

KoalaDownUnder · 08/10/2016 17:58

It's very 90s. And masculine-sounding. And American.

Sorry, do not like. Far prefer Madeleine.

Loyly · 08/10/2016 17:57

I don't like it, sorry.

Sophronia · 08/10/2016 17:56

Not keen, I prefer Madeleine.

Buttonmoonb4tea · 08/10/2016 17:50

I actually love it. Was Going to call my DD this but when I gave birth and met her the name didn't fit. She now says she wishes I had called her Madison Grin
