I love both but would go for Ivy.

katemess12 · 02/10/2016 09:02

My DD is Ivy, so I obviously prefer it.

Violet sounds foul in my accent.

enchantmentandlove · 02/10/2016 05:20

I think both names are beautiful! I probably slightly prefer Ivy.

...no, Violet...

Oh I don't know! Maybe wait until she's born and see what she looks like Smile

NuffSaidSam · 01/10/2016 22:47

Definitely Violet.

Ivy looks horrible written down.

Ivy is an ugly plant imo.

IV means intravenous.

The Ivy is a sleb hang-out restaurant.

And it just makes me thing of Ivy from Coronation Street!

Treadlightly · 01/10/2016 21:58

Both are lovely
I have a little ivy & she has a friend called violet :)

inmyheadimthequeen · 01/10/2016 21:56

Violet, although both are nice.

Violet. Ivy sounds... dark.

buddy79 · 30/09/2016 20:08

Love both but would go Violet. Ivy makes me think of Ivy in Shakespeare that sucks the verdure out... But that is very random! They're both lovely names.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 30/09/2016 19:19

Aww, lovely bubba !
Violet.

GoldPlatedBacon · 30/09/2016 15:58

Violet is my favourite.

Statistically Ivy is more popular if that's any help

gettingitwrongputingitright · 30/09/2016 09:52

Both beautiful. Sorry no help! Also like Iris.

EvaWild · 30/09/2016 09:44

Wow, these are both very beautiful names. I cannot decide which one I like more :)

Loafingaround · 30/09/2016 09:41

-sorry Ivy as middle name!

Loafingaround · 30/09/2016 09:40

Violet- with Ivy as nn. I love the older, vintage names coming back, but ask yourself, would you want to be called Ivy? I personally wouldn't- same as the name Olive (cut as it is on a little girl) as to they're just not pretty or feminine, while Violet is.

Mumof4girls2boys · 30/09/2016 01:30

My baby girl is a Violet so mines a biased vote. Pic for cuteness 😊
