Love Leo! If (big if) I had another DC and they were a boy I would 100% call them Leo, its my favourite boys name atm!

I had a cat called Freddie so sorry its a no from me Grin also can't stand Frederick or Wilfred or whatever!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 29/09/2016 10:25

Or Leonard.

I'd go for 'just' Leo OP, perfectly acceptable. I can't help but feeling Freddie is a kid's name, but we all need to remember that this generation will be full of adults called Alfie, Bertie, Freddie etc

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 29/09/2016 10:04

Leo is much better as a stand alone name. No one wants to be called Leopold or Leonardo!

eeyoresgrumpierfriend · 29/09/2016 09:37

Would Leo be short for Leopold or Leonardo?

I prefer Freddie but then I'm biased as I have one - officially a Frederick, Freddie until recently but preferring Fred now he has reached the grand age of 8.

crapfatbanana · 29/09/2016 09:34

I like Leo the most.

MitzyLeFrouf · 28/09/2016 12:06

Leo. By several country miles.

Freddie suits a toddler but that's about it.

chinlo · 28/09/2016 11:56

probably because of how popular Leo is becoming

Just to point out, Leo was number 16 last year and Freddie 17. Add to that that Freddie is rising more steeply so it's likely to overtake Leo in future years, as well as all boys given the now-popular names like Wilfred and Frederick, etc. that will use Freddie as a nn, and I think Leo is considerably less popular.

bluebirdx · 28/09/2016 11:44

DH is the one for Freddie, and me Leo. However Freddie is now starting to grow on me more And like pp said, probably because of how popular Leo is becoming. I don't like
It shortened from any other names such as Frederick or Wilfred.

Freddie.

If I were to have any more boy children, he would be a Freddie.

FixItUpChappie · 28/09/2016 03:21

I think Leo is getting too popular personally - I'd go with Freddie

FindingNemoFindingDory · 28/09/2016 03:08

Leo!

DramaAlpaca · 27/09/2016 17:55

Leo

BendydickCuminsnatch · 27/09/2016 17:07

Probably Leo out of the two.

Lucylocket2592 · 27/09/2016 17:04

Leo is a beautiful name!

Sophronia · 27/09/2016 17:02

Leo, but Freddie if short for Frederick, Alfred or Wilfred

PotatoBread · 26/09/2016 22:31

Leo.

Freddie is sweet as a cutsie nickname but not as a name on a birth certificate

sonlypuppyfat · 26/09/2016 12:52

I wouldn't lumber anyone with either

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 26/09/2016 12:45

Leo.

0pti0na1 · 26/09/2016 10:42

Leo, although I like both.

CPtart · 26/09/2016 10:39

Leo by a mile. Freddie is in the same vein as Alfie, Archie, Charlie etc which I dislike.

Foxtato · 26/09/2016 10:32

Leo!

Caldini22 · 26/09/2016 10:18

Leo by far

katemess12 · 26/09/2016 09:42

Leo.

Hate Freddie, but love Frederick with the nickname Fred.

AbandonHopeDarren · 26/09/2016 08:42

Leo by miles (unless Freddie is to be a nn for Wilfred, which is my favourite name atm)!

Seekingmiracles · 26/09/2016 07:19

Both nice names, but I prefer Leo.
DO NOT go with Frederick, it's bloody horrendous!! And Leopold Hmm Jesus Christ!!
