NEITHER!!! I'm in shock so many people actually like either of them. They're both middle aged men names and not in good way. May as well also consider Malcom or Keith!

I know someone who recently called her daughter Caroline - this also sounded odd amongst all the Amelias, Charlottes, Bellas and Olivia's!

It's funny because certain 70s/80s names are still popular - e.g. Thomas and James. Certain names are not though -e.g. Simon, Paul, Andrew, Steven, John. These sound dated.

Every little boy at the moment is Alfie, Archie, Oscar, Oliver, Joshua, Ethan...

Klee, Gauguin and Cézanne are all Pauls. It's an artists name.

Either! I love both of them. If pushed I'd choose Paul.

Funnily enough my DC4 (now aged 19) has a Paul, a Simon AND an Amanda in her kindergarten class (overseas)

Amanda is a fab name.

Neither are really my cup of tea tbh but I do think Simon is quite nice. I like S names! Not keen on Paul.

Simon if I had to choose one but there are so many much nicer names.

Some retro 70s/80s names work but there are many which don't and I think Paul and Simon are the latter. My son has a 16 year old friend called Gary. First thing we asked when he mentioned him was "How old is he? 40?"
