If I like Edie and Greta, what else might I like for a girl?

I never realised that Ray Eames was a woman Blush. Despite my dad being well into post-war design, and growing up in a house full of Jacobsen, Eames and Sarinnen stuff (that makes us sound really well off. We weren't, but he had a few good years, we only went abroad if work was paying and our car was junk).

Yes, like Ray Eames, whose name was actually Bernice Alexandra - her nickname as a child was Ray-Ray. It's lovely though, I think - has a definite 1950s feel to it.

Or, with the same pronunciation, the Japanese name Rei, which means lovely.

I don't assume Greta is a form of Margaret. It makes me think of Greta Garbo, and that's an awesome association.
