Down to the final 3

We recently had DD number 3 and have to name her soon.
We are down to our final three.
I understand these might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we love them, they suit our other daughters names.

Could you tell me which you prefer?

India Rose

Mila Rose

Honey Rose

Thanks!

I think the OP should grow a thicker skin because when baby's born this may all be said behind her back anyway.

I like India best but Mila is nice too!
Don't know how old your other DD's are but have you tested them saying the names incase they have trouble saying one of them?

SatsukiKusakabe · 11/09/2016 08:00

Also the op has said she loves the name, it belongs to her, her mother and her existing two daughters, I think it is not fair game to say how common it is and how you couldn't bring yourself to use it in light of those facts.

MermaidTears · 11/09/2016 07:59

navy thankyou. We obviously have the same taste in names Grin

I've already explained the rose middle names, we all have it. Boring or not.

Yes I have in fact been to India three times and we are going again next year hopefully.
The country means a lot to me, it's my favourite place in the world.

'back to the drawing board' is so rude when I clearly stated these are the names we liked and have picked!

You don't have to change the world with a middle name. My dd has my 'filler' middle name; we both have unusual first names, and the middle name is very pretty and commonly used for that reason.

SatsukiKusakabe · 11/09/2016 07:53

I think Mila Rose is lovely. Rose is a popular middle name because it is beautiful, classic and goes with everything. The fact that it is a shared family name makes it even better.

India is nice but I'm not overly keen on it because of its being a country, I find it hard to reconcile as a girl's name, though that isn't a problem for other people, I realise!

Honey - I wouldn't as I couldn't bear to think of all the leery comments she'd get from blokes over the years, but she might well be a strong character and not give a shit. I think it is very pretty though and only probably doesn't get used much because it is a term of endearment rather than anything else.

kookiekookie · 11/09/2016 07:49

Have you 'heard it all now'?

Wow! I think it's naff to call your child after a city or country unless you've been there.

That is all.

Ooo I re read it's Mila

  • fabulous! Definitely go for Mila (not Mia) I need glasses.
kookiekookie · 11/09/2016 07:44

no Rose!!!! It's so common and even though my nan's middle name was Rose and I could justify using it I still couldn't bring myself to.

Just no to India. Have you been to India? If you haven't, double no. Mia I find is very twee and it's very popular now too.

Honey is the best but you've got to imagine your child in several scenarios e.g. Being called at the doctors or at university graduation. 'Miss Honey xxxx --- how does that sound? If it sounds cringey then no.

Back to the drawing board?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 11/09/2016 07:40

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 11/09/2016 01:25

Congratulations!

I'd say Mila Rose.

Buntysoven · 11/09/2016 01:15

Really dislike India after I discovered the vile Katie Hopkins has one. Like Mila though. Congratulations on your new squidgy baby Flowers

Love Honey Rose - it feels really warm and friendly.

Caldini22 · 10/09/2016 19:45

Mila Rose.

I like Honey second best.

LondonGirl83 · 10/09/2016 18:30

Mila. I'm nto a fan of India and I think Honey as a name for a girl might be something she regrets later on in life.

Nonameyet1 · 10/09/2016 17:56

India Rose for me! Gorgeous, and love Indie as a nickname!

Mila second choice!
