Sister for Eliza

We need to come up with a name for the little sister of Eliza Rose (due early 2017).

We like names that are familiar but not overly common, which is how we ended up with Eliza (shorted to Lize or Ellie) and I'd like something equally "punchy" yet girly and vowel heavy; so we're finding it hard to come up with baby number two's name.

So far on our shortlist are:
Amelia (not exactly uncommon)
Matilda (ditto)
Imogen
Lara
Violet (DH not a fan)
Emilia (too similar?)
Emily (two E names)

We can't use any Bel/Belle ending names due to surname. Other names off limits include:
Ruby
Hazel
Zara
Zadie
Florence
Any K names

Middle name is not yet decided, Grace and Kate are current front runners. Mae is off limits too.

Our surname is two syllables and beings with a K.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions ladies!

Lovely combo with Eliza rose

But from your list both imogen and lara are lovely. And of the two I would go with imogen.

Just to add that my husband and I's guilty pleasure name is Ramona, but our neighbour got there first! If you'd like to use it in our honour, I'd very much appreciate it! WinkGrin

I have an Eliza! She has an older sister Imogen, and a younger sister Lara - so obviously those are my favourites from your list (and, coincidentally, the only ones you haven't marked with potential problems!). You have a wonderful taste in names!

Our Lara's middle name is Grace, also from your list - I think it flows beautifully, but one thing I will say is that I think Lara is becoming more common, whereas I have yet to meet another Imogen or Eliza.

I also have a Claudia Eloise, and I've never met any other Claudias.

Other names we were considering were Annabelle, Hazel (both off limits for you, sorry!) Matilda, Florence (both also on your list) Cassie, Lucy and Tess.

Out of your list, I would choose Imogen, but then I'm obviously biased! Lara would be a very close second, as though it's a simple and beautiful name, it's rising popularity may put you off.

Our Imogen's middle name is Charlotte, but I think Imogen Grace flows nicely - we were actually going to name our Eliza either Eliza Grace or Eliza Kate! Juliet was very much a last minute decision...

Hope I helped in some way!

Congratulations and best of luck X
