Love the name but a few people have said it just instantly reminds them of Princess Charlotte.

No, initially for Charlotte I think pudding. But yes, there are Charlotte's everywhere round here, most of them known as Charlie.

Yika · 02/09/2016 09:49

No, would never think of the princess. It's a very classic and well used name.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 02/09/2016 08:40

When I hear Charlotte, I think Bronte.
Charlotte is a wonderful, timeless name.

rugbychick1 · 02/09/2016 08:13

No. Reminds me of a good friend

MrsGsnow18 · 02/09/2016 08:03

Wouldn't have even though princess without it being mentioned. It's a lovely name.

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/09/2016 07:36

No, it's too classic and solidly popular a name.

thatsnotmybabyname · 02/09/2016 07:31

No, there are sooooooo many Charlottes around of all ages that I don't associate it with anyone.

DaisyFranceLynch · 02/09/2016 06:53

I love it. I think SATC as well, rather than the princess.

Most of the Royal family have fairly classic, popular names, and I wouldn't usually associate the name with the prince/ princess (unless it is something more unusual like Eugenie, or a pair of brothers called William and Henry/Harry).

Nonameyet1 · 02/09/2016 06:50

Nope, great name.

Idliketobeabutterfly · 02/09/2016 06:48

I think SATC

Glastokitty · 02/09/2016 04:13

I think of Charlotte Bronte, which is good.

AnnaMarlowe · 02/09/2016 03:33

No, there are loads of Charlottes. It doesn't make me think of the Royal family.

It's a lovely name.

Motherfuckers · 02/09/2016 03:22

No of course not. I reserve that for Tiaamii.

pontificationcentral · 02/09/2016 03:21

No, because I'm old enough to have known a shit ton of other Charlotte's before the Princess. it's been yummy mummy popular on and off forever. Always a smattering of Charlotte's about. Nice name.

katemess12 · 02/09/2016 02:37

Nope. I think of my almost-10-year-old cousin whose name is Charlotte. Smile

Cineraria · 02/09/2016 01:50

Not Princess but Queen, as in the maternity hospital in West London. I used to work nearby.

Ilovecharliecat · 02/09/2016 01:45

Nope just think of the only Charlotte in our family who we call Charlie ❤️

monkeygone · 02/09/2016 01:37

Nope, not at all. I forgot Princess Charlotte existed actually until I saw this!

Me too. At first I was trying to think about what Disney princess you were referring to!

Charlotte is a pretty classic name tbh. Don't think any one person/character can lay particular claim to it.

user1463864877 · 02/09/2016 00:42

I do - but don't think it matters! In fact it's on our list and is DH's total fave, am just worried there will be loads around and she will forever be known by two names to distinguish her from her classmates. Hmm

toffeeboffin · 01/09/2016 13:49

Ha, no our surname isn't Webb! Actually forgot about Charlotte's Web. Surname begins with a C so it has a nice rhythm to it.

We live abroad and it didn't occur to me either really but a couple of UK friends have said Charlotte = Princess.

SherlockPotter · 01/09/2016 13:47

Nope. I grew up with a few Charlottes! In fact my best friend is called Charlotte Smile

LaurieLemons · 01/09/2016 13:45

No, there were plenty of charlottes around long before the princess so I don't think it will matter much.

alltouchedout · 01/09/2016 13:41

No, I think SATC and then web and then the Charlotte I knew at school. I had to think which princess you might be referring to tbh!

crje · 01/09/2016 13:38

No & I love lottie as a nn

curlywillow · 01/09/2016 13:38

So don't use it if your surname is Webb.
