We are liking the name Bailey. We quite like the Bayleigh spelling, but know it's youneeque and don't want to lumber our child with that.

Bailey seems so pretty though, I know lots of boys have the name and I know it's meanings aren't great, but it just sounds pretty. Reminds me of nature and flowers Grin bay tree? Do they exist? Just makes me think of that!

Opinions?

I'm sorry, I think it's awful. It's a bit like Jayden, or Kai.

Makes me think of the drink Bailey's or hay bales.

It's ok as a surname.

It was the top of my list both times either for a girl or a boy - my husband however was not keen so no Baileys in this house Sad

MargoReadbetter · 01/09/2016 00:43

Sorry, not keen. Especially not with the unnecessary spelling.

I've got a bay tree! They do exist. I'm not keen on Bailey though, sorry. It makes me think of Bill Bailey. What about laurel? Or is that ridiculously different to Bailey?
