How would you naturally pronounce Eben?

Eb- en (as in like it's short for Ebenezer)

Or Ee- Ben

Or Eeb- en

What?

hownottofuckup · 26/08/2016 18:53

I'd say it like Eden but with a B, I haven't heard of it before so it does sound a bit clumsy

2legit2knit · 26/08/2016 18:52

Ebben

Fluffsnuts · 26/08/2016 18:51

He was a king a long long time ago! A very old English name.

Ee-ben

PolkaDot2233 · 26/08/2016 18:50

I'd say it like Eden, with a B, so Eeb-en

DomesticAnarchist · 26/08/2016 18:49

Eb-en from that Sublime track

SteviebunsBottrittrundle · 26/08/2016 18:49

I'd have said Eh-ben I think.

CancellyMcChequeface · 26/08/2016 18:48

My first thought on seeing the title was a shortening of Ebenezer, so Eb-en. I've never seen Eben as a name in its own right before, though.

TrinityForce · 26/08/2016 18:47

I also thought it was a mispelling of Eden

But I'd pronounce it however you told me to. Ee-ben, if I'm going on the assumption it's a variant/mispelling of Eden.

JennyOnAPlate · 26/08/2016 18:46

Eeb-en. My friend has one!

Lunar1 · 26/08/2016 18:45

Where is it from?

Kenworthington · 26/08/2016 18:44

Sorry but I would just assume a misspelling of eDen.
