Final two boys names

Our gorgeous little boy arrived on Wed and is still nameless - really need to make a decision! We're pretty much down to Arlo or Fox - which do you prefer and why?

My concern is that Arlo is about to become mega popular, though on a par with what I'm not sure...

Thanks!

Fabulous!

SatsukiKusakabe · 26/08/2016 08:33

Congratulations! Good choice.

WhatTheDickensian · 26/08/2016 07:48

Great choice. I much prefer Milo to Arlo as there are fewer "Harlow with an Essex accent" connotations. Glad Fox is in there too.

HerdsOfWilderbeest · 26/08/2016 01:31

Great!!

BrollySmolly · 25/08/2016 19:20

Perfect! Love it!

LondonGirl83 · 25/08/2016 17:39

Arlo-- I also like Arlo Fox combination. Congrats and ignore the name bashing...

Holly1987 · 25/08/2016 17:31

Good choice! Smile

Is Rafes full name Raphael? I like the name Milo, I know a very cute Milo..
I have to laugh at people getting so worked up about what others think of names.
The op doesn't give a shit Grin she's gona name her dc whatever she wants.

If I don't like the name Persephone or John that's my business

Holly1987 · 24/08/2016 19:19

Milo is lovely Smile

BrollySmolly · 24/08/2016 15:40

Yep - Rafe and Milo sound great!

Milo is lovely, and it complements Rafe very well.

Ipanema01 · 24/08/2016 11:55

Sorry for the lack of response - lost in a feeding haze! I think I'm going off Arlo, I can't bear to choose it for it to end up being faddy or super trendy. Wish I loved something as much as Rafe!
Edging a bit more towards Milo and still love Fox - I'm not too bothered by raised eyebrows, people will get over it and hopefully I'll instill enough confidence in LO that he isn't bothered either Grin Milo, Arlo or Fox would suit babe equally.
Like the suggestions of Rex and Marley but I have relatives with those names. I feel like I've heard every name in existence!

Can't wait to hear what you decide on.

Enidblyton1 · 23/08/2016 23:06

Do you secretly have a preference?

Go for Fox!
As a previous poster said, Arlo is possibly a bit passé in London. I know of quite a few.

Eeeek686 · 23/08/2016 19:39

Hey Op if you're still reading - just watching the 2015 animation movie The Good Dinosaur and the lead Dino is called Arlo..... Grin Grin

HerdsOfWilderbeest · 23/08/2016 15:02

Milo goes best. Soft but strong and cool

BrollySmolly · 23/08/2016 14:17

Today I met a little Arlo and his brother Elias - so that's my offering to you!

Or:
Tobias
Jonah
Jude

crocodarl · 23/08/2016 14:04

Arlo Guthrie, Fox Mulder ... I love them both! I briefly considered calling my 1st boy Fox ... but didn't because I didn't want to make things complicated for him (we live in a country where English is not the main language but I don't know if that would have made it sound better or worse..) with hindsight I think he would have been fine though.

Alwaysinahurrynow · 23/08/2016 13:50

Following on from my earlier comment, go with what you are happy with, some people will always dislike the names that you choose. We've had so many comments about why we would choose a popular but traditional name for our kids, didn't we want something that was a bit more unusual Grin. I think as long as you are happy with your choice, then go for it.

Quite intrigued by the use of Badger - clearly been out of SW London for too long!
