Relatively traditional names for a boy?

CarrotVan · 16/08/2016 11:45

I am really struggling with possible names for the baby I'm expecting. For girls we have lots of options but for boys we used them all up on DS1 or there's a close relative with the name.

So any thoughts for relatively traditional, can be shortened if wanted, doesn't end in an M, doesn't start with S or A?

I like Nathaniel, Ludovic, Nicholas, and Felix - DH less so

Roderic? Similar to Frederick.

DH is possibly ok with Felix and a couple of others. He's even fussier than I am!

All of my boys names are here - the next one (if we have a fourth!) would be Christopher (Kit).

I love your original suggestion of Ludovic / Ludo, Felix and Nathaniel, can you not persuade OH? I like his Magnus too...

Yes, I also like Patrick and Louis.

I like Daniel with Danny or Dan as a nn. The names you like seem quite regal, Louis and Henry seem to fit well with that brief.

Marcus is a possible although we do have a good friend called Marcus. Not sure it would go with our surname as very alliterative

TheFace · 16/08/2016 12:43

Marcus?

CarrotVan · 16/08/2016 12:35

I'm trying to avoid names beginning with S if I can

Or Stanley? Stan is cool for a young boy.

Propertyquandry · 16/08/2016 12:33

I was just going to suggest Francis. I think Fran for a boy sounds fab.

happilymarried1 · 16/08/2016 12:25

Philip Henry Arthur Louis Richard
