What does everyone think of this name?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know an Apollo. He's not amazingly good looking or charismatic or intelligent - I've never really thought about it before, but I think he carries off his name because it's all I've ever known him as! I've never heard him getting bullied for it, but I think I must live in a really nice area, nobody was bullied for their name at my school.

I genuinely prefer Zeus to Apollo! Goes better with Xavier

Also, think about your family name.

It will go something like Apollo Johnson, or Apollo Brown, or Apollo Wallace or something.
Not good.

PunkrockerGirl · 15/08/2016 21:07

Awful. Poor kid.
Just because you like it, doesn't make it right to subject a child to a lifetime of ridicule Hmm
As a pp said, change your own name to Apollo if you like it that much and see how you get on, but ffs give your child a proper name.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 15/08/2016 21:03

Too big a name to bear.
Why not go to Zeus and be done with it?

Memoires · 15/08/2016 21:03

No. No one will take it seriously and he would have to grow up to be fantastically good looking and really really fit and gorgeous, or everyone will be thinking "he doesn't live up to his name". You're really setting him up to fail.

Don't be mean.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 15/08/2016 21:02

Also, Apollo's twin was a Sister, not a brother-Artemis.

Ellieboolou27 · 15/08/2016 21:02

Agree with creed, soon as I saw the name I started humming eye of the tiger.
Nickname could be app Grin
Honestly it's not a good choice

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 15/08/2016 21:01

Alisvolatpropiis · 15/08/2016 20:52

Apollo will be very jealous of his twin brothers normal name.
