I met a baby Kester about 15 years ago, and have always thought it was lovely. A version of Christopher, apparently.

If my DDs had been boys they'd have been Valentine and Laurent after my grandfathers. I don't hear of them very often, but I suppose they aren't unusual. I love the name Elvin, too. Also, Clement, Amos, Florent, Bellamy, Percy and Orson are some of my unusual favourites.

I had a great-uncle Ludo. Still kind of wish I'd foisted it on DS2. It would have suited him, and he thinks his actual name is soooo boring.

I'm hoping for a (very far off) ds so I can have a Cassius. Fairly uncommon but not so uncommon that it's odd and I just love it!

And then every time you called him for his dinner you could say "yon Cassius hath a lean and hungry look" It would be worth it for that alone.

I know a Stetson. His father is Darwin.

I think Galen is cool.

Lots of surnames make great boys names, some very obvious eg Stuart, Lewis etc but some less so. Any family maiden names you like for example?

It is SO hard to find non-overused boys names. Is it just because there are fewer boys names? Confused how can that be?

Anyway, I like:
Gregory (which an MNer called their newborn after my suggestion, totally made my life 😄 I love thinking about little Gregory out there somewhere)

Nicholas (perfect name but I have a cousin called Nicholas so won't use it :()
