Yeah, not going to lie, fan of the game. DH is too Grin

I love it! I think it's pretty. It is the only name we've been able to agree on. Out of thousands.

Is it ridiculous? I'm worrying about the reactions we'll have Blush

It's a pretty name, you know it will raise some eyebrows and invite some comments in front of and behind your back. I don't think it's outrageous and if that's what you like then you should! Give her a middle name so that if she gets hassle when she's older she can choose to use the middle name instead. I actually like it (I'm 33 just in case that has any bearing as someone suggested Hmm) my oldest is called Oran which is quite unusual but we loved it and nothing else compared, so we stuck with it. We know for some people it took some getting used to but who cares about that Grin my youngests (twins) are called Millie and Noah which are more normal

ButteredToastAndStrawberryJam · 10/08/2016 19:54

Ah, first thing I thought of was Robin Williams daughter.

MrsGsnow18 · 10/08/2016 19:52

X post unicorns
You must be an awesome person!

MrsGsnow18 · 10/08/2016 19:51

Makes me think of Zelda Fitzgerald, wife of F.Scott Fitzgerald (author of the Great Garsby) she wrote a novel too.
Name has been around a lot longer than some people realise!
I think it's great name, it's one I have I my list of I ever have a DD Smile

Unicornsarelovely · 10/08/2016 19:51

Zelda Fitzgerald was an underarms novelist sadly overshadowed by her husband f Scott.

I like the name.

Queenbean · 10/08/2016 19:45

LewisAndClark · 10/08/2016 19:43

Will always mean Terrahawks to me.

Pet Sematary Confused

MotherOfGlob · 10/08/2016 19:42

Maybe Google 'Zelda Terrahawks' before you make a decision....Grin

WellErrr · 10/08/2016 19:41

Cross post Queen!

WellErrr · 10/08/2016 19:41

Ooh I just remembered Sabrina the Teenage Witch! Didn't she have an Aunt Zelda??

How about Princess Toadstool? Or Zena Warrior Princess? Grin

Sorry OP. I don't actually dislike the name, I'm just an 80s child!

Queenbean · 10/08/2016 19:41

I love Zelda. She was the aunt in Sabrina the teenage witch.

Go for it, but only if you call your son Salem

augustusdecimus · 10/08/2016 19:40

I do like it. But I would think of the game every time I heard it or spoke to her.

LynetteScavo · 10/08/2016 19:40

Well, Zelda in Grange Hill wasn't very nice, but I knew an absolutely beutiful and sweet child called Zelda once, so now I like it. It's nothing like Sonic to me.

Whitelisbon · 10/08/2016 19:40

Me and dh had our biggest ever argument over the name zelda, I'm still gutted that he won and dc5 has a boring name in comparison.
Go for it.

Buttwing · 10/08/2016 19:39

Sorry terrahawks for me too.

Magazinepile · 10/08/2016 19:39

Think it's cute, original and pretty. Go for it sweetie! X

minatiae · 10/08/2016 19:39

I like it. It's a real name. It's Yiddish I think and has been common in the past but not so much in the past ~100 years!

If you like it, go for it.

Greydog · 10/08/2016 19:38

Many, many years ago I worked with a Zelda. She was a dreadful woman, used to sleep on her desk, boil eggs in the tea kettle, and was bone idle, so sorry - it's not a name I would consider!

booellesmum · 10/08/2016 19:38

Lovely name.
If that's what you both agree on then go with it.

Madbengalmum · 10/08/2016 19:38

Nyborg, mine too.

OohMavis · 10/08/2016 19:38

Yeah I'm anticipating lots of 'what, you didn't like Pikachu then?' comments! That's what's making me hesitate somewhat.

Madbengalmum · 10/08/2016 19:38

Like it, the name has been around for alot longer than the game.

Nyborg · 10/08/2016 19:37

I'm so old that my first thought was Terrahawks.
