Names you hate!

First born is due in Dec (gender not known) and dh and I are pondering over names and he's suggested a few now that I absolutely hate - only because I know or knew somebody with that name and they were complete and utter shit heads!

They were every day names, nothing daft like Apple or Tiger Lilly but once associated with a past prize twat!! I go right off it!

Anyone else had this?

Duncan and Malcolm are names I detest. I have no real rational reason but that's how I feel and quite strongly too.

James, as a middle name....surely this is the equivalent of May/Mai/Mae!?

How Lily May and Chelsea Mae get labelled as common or chavtastic and Ethan James or Joshua James escape is completely puzzling!

Granny/grandpa chic names - Sybil!!!
Made up spellings - why change it? You're not original, just a bit twatty.
Animal names - Bear seems to be popular where I am! Awful! What if Bear turns out to be a weedy little nerd??

Susannah, Jennifer, Jamie, (bully at school) Clarissa and Rebecca (my husband insisted this was my daughter'smiddle name Sad Rebecca was a horrible bully, also, at school.

I liked Jacob but DH vetoed it because it made him think of cream crackers and he hates them Grin. Had a girl anyway.

I disliked Poppy for years - thought it was too cutesy - then I said DH could name DD as I named the boys ( obv joint decision but my suggestions) - he named her Poppy ...

It grew on me and I love it now :)

Trevor, Sharon, Darren, Tracy, Kevin, Donna, Kylie, Jadon, Jason, Dave, Brian, Kerry, Jade - can't be said without a horrible cockney accent

Simon, Louise, Sarah, Jane, Julie, Stephen, Lucy, Paula, Paul, Peter, Mary, John, Daniel, Robert, Roger, Ann, Margaret, Elizabeth - boring names

Elizabeth- I just find it so dull. I do however like Eliza & I don't mind Beth.
Twee names: poppy, Millie, Maisie.
Rosemary. Sinister (& mils name!)
Gemma & Tanya: never met one I liked. Bitches!
Any Alex based names. From Alexander/Alexandra to Lexi etc. Don't know why. Sasha is the exception to that rule.
Julian & Justin, I find them a bit wet
Jayden, kaiden, brayden etc
Guy- it's lazy naming.
Really American style; peyton, Mckenzie, Amberlynn, Madison ...

& stupid spellings

Also cutesy names like maisie and tilly and alfie.

I'm very very particular about names, I don't names I can link to anyone I dislike. I was bullied a lot at school and so there is a huge range there I have very strong feelings against, i.e Clare, Holly, Nikki, Marie, Craig, Philip, Abigail, Stacey, Eddie although they are all imo very 80s names.

I don't like stupid spellings either like Jayeme.

I really liked Liam but DH vetoed it because apparently it's a drug dealer's name. I assume he once knew somebody dodgy by that name, rather than believing all people called Liam sell drugs.

Ethan - nearly every under 6 yo around here is called Ethan. Yuck.

Olivia - Olive from on the buses (horrible show) or oil. Yuck.

Claire - I've never met a Claire who hasn't been a nasty shit.

Alfie - I've never met at Alfie who hasn't been a nasty shit.

Sean, Shaun, Shawn & Sarah same as Alfie and Claire.
