Really started to grow on me. What are your thoughts?

Between Rory and Louie at the moment. Can not seem to agree on any other names so new suggestions would be helpfulSmile

And my brother's 45 so ahead of the trend, or at least my parents were! Grin

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 07/08/2016 00:48

My brother's name. A lovely guy.

Good name!

CancellyMcChequeface · 07/08/2016 00:02

I like Louis. Rory makes me think of lions, or of the Doctor Who character.

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 05/08/2016 12:57

I love Rory, it's on our list for DC2.

Loafingaround · 05/08/2016 08:39

Like it, but becoming more popular.

ClockMakerSue · 05/08/2016 08:02

I really like Rory but really dislike Louie. Rory feels a strong name and Louie feels weak and wet. I know names aren't always shortened by peers but as a point of comparison...
Rory - ROAR
Louie - LOO

NewStartNewName · 05/08/2016 07:35

Sorry, that sounded a bit harsh! No offence meant to anyone

NewStartNewName · 05/08/2016 02:55

And I realise it's a different spelling, but it's still the same name Smile.

I think it's really nice as I said before (just pointing this out before anyone makes a comment)

LucyBabs · 05/08/2016 02:55

Ahhh now I remember it thanks newstart Grin

NewStartNewName · 05/08/2016 02:53

My DSs loved it! Channel 5 I think it was.

Love Rory, if I had another child it would be a Rory, boy or girl, it's just a fab name!

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 05/08/2016 00:40

Love both Rory and Louis (less keen on Louie)

LucyBabs · 05/08/2016 00:39

newstart Was Rory the racing car on British TV?

lamprey42 · 05/08/2016 00:32

Really like Rory but it is quite common where we live (N ireland) if that bothers you - maybe because of Rory McIlroy though so might be less common elsewhere.

Aftershock15 · 04/08/2016 23:58

I have a Rory. It's a great name. Oddly at one time he an activity with a female Rory - but she might have spelt it with an I rather than a y. I definitely think it's a boys name and her parents were wrong though!

proudnewMNaddict · 04/08/2016 23:54

I LOVE the name Rory!

ChanelNo314 · 04/08/2016 23:47

Like it

NewStartNewName · 04/08/2016 23:44

The racing car .......

Seriously though it's a nice name, went to school with a Rory and only know one other

Cahu58 · 04/08/2016 23:30

Was the name I was going to give my DC2 but DC2 was a girl. Sooo... Love the name Rory, please use it!

peggyblackett · 04/08/2016 23:22

Rory is fabulous - I love it!

Really not keen on Louie or Louis.

CodewordRochambeau · 04/08/2016 23:18

In Gilmore Girls, Rory isn't the character's given name - it's a nickname for Lorelai to distinguish her from her mum, who has the same name. It's definitely a boys' name, even to Gilmore Girls fans.

LunaLoveg00d · 04/08/2016 17:31

I have a Rory. His name was practically unheard of when he was born as we lived in London at the time, since moving back to Scotland there are lots of Rory, Ruari or Ruaraidh and other variants around. But all of them male!!

Greenteandchives · 04/08/2016 16:58

I love it but wasn't brave enough to use it, some years ago. Wish I had. I liked Lionel too. Bit of a theme developing there...

RockinHippy · 04/08/2016 16:54

I don't dislike it, but it has become a very popular dogs name around here, so that puts me off

DramaAlpaca · 04/08/2016 16:42

I love Rory, it's one of my favourite names.
