DSis is having a boy and want's to name him either Anakin or Kirk Grin as you've probably guessed she's a big fan of Star Wars/Star Trek.

She's not budging, so which do you prefer?

Anakin or Kirk

I was going to say James Tiberius - it was my proposed name for my imaginary ds3. But also to say your sil probably winding you up, my sil bugged me endlessly for dd1's name when pregnant, I stuck with 'brandylou' throughout...

BerriesandLeaves · 06/08/2016 20:35

People might think you were saying "Anarchy" when you were calling him.

pepperpot99 · 06/08/2016 20:29

Just call him the incredible hulk and be done with it.

23jumpstreet · 05/08/2016 23:47

Kirk lovely name.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/08/2016 23:43

Oh Sorry Riddle. I didn't see or rather read your update

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/08/2016 23:41

Kirk is beautiful. It means Church, so I believe.
Anakin is a bit effeminate to my ears and could become Ana. Kids can be so cruel.
Anakin would be gorgeous for a girl, though

HyunaRiddle · 05/08/2016 17:20

You'll all be glad to know that I've managed to get Anakin knocked off the table, current front runner is James Tiberius Charles Surname as her DH cringes at the possibility of his DS introducing himself as James T Grin which I think would be the cutest thing ever

Kirk is marginally better than Anakin, but James Tiberius would be great! Or:

Benjamin
Julian
Leonard
William
Miles
Jake
Jonathan
Charles
Malcolm

All Star Trek characters!

Gowgirl · 05/08/2016 10:51

What about ford?

dotdotdotmustdash · 05/08/2016 10:41

I vote R2D2, Arty for short

Just5minswithDacre · 05/08/2016 01:11

I knew an Obi short for Obed (sp?), which was an old family name and presumably therefore a 'real' name.

finova · 04/08/2016 08:29

I knew a boy named Jakan that was something to do with Star Wars and it sounds nice.

iklboo · 03/08/2016 17:54

Or

Romulan
Klingon
Vulcan
Betazoid
Borg
Bolian
Ferengi
El-Aurian
Andorian
Xindi
Bajoran
Ba'ku

MsRinky · 03/08/2016 17:44

I once met a girl who I thought was called Anakin Ross, but she turned out to be Anna Kinross. I was relieved for her.

ToFindAndWakeTheDreamer · 03/08/2016 12:21

I wouldn't want to be called Anakin if was being interviewed for a job by senior staff who grew up with the original Star Wars trilogy.

SorenaJ · 03/08/2016 12:13

Not Anakin. I actually think Dalek is great. So is Obi.

Nannawifeofbaldr · 02/08/2016 23:14

Han?

Anything other than Anakin

NeedAnotherGlass · 02/08/2016 22:48

I always wanted a girl so I could call her Jadzia

(Anakin is awful)

rainbowstardrops · 02/08/2016 22:08

The more I think about it, the more I'm loving Obi!!! What a cool name?!

pepperpot99 · 02/08/2016 22:02

Chewbacca

Another vote for R2D2

pepperpot99 · 02/08/2016 21:49

Why don't you just call it spock. You can have its ears operated onto make it look like a real vulcan😐

MimiSunshine · 02/08/2016 21:44

I know an Obi (never made the Star Wars connection before) and a Lennon.
