Clara or Charlotte?

DH and I have narrowed it down to two name choices for DD2, but can't choose between Clara and Charlotte. Middle name will be Juliette. DH likes Clara, as do I, but I think I prefer Charlotte. The problem is, one of the only boys names we like is Charlie, and we can't have a Charlotte and a Charlie if we ever have a boy in the future, can we? She would almost definitely go by Lottie, but in the future we run the risk of having two Charlies.

Her older sister is Lucie Aurélie - DH is French, it means "golden light." Which name do you prefer and what are your opinions?

Clara.

Charlotte Juliette doesn't work, really. And I prefer the name Clara.

That said, I think Clara and Charlie are too similar for siblings as well.

I prefer Clara Juliette, beautiful name and goes well with your other DD

I would have said Charlotte but with the mn being Juliette. I'd say Clara. Clara Juliette just rolls of the tongue, where as Charlotte is very harsh.

I prefer Clara to Charlotte. It goes better with your chosen middle name too, as Charlotte Juliette is a bit too heavy on the -tte endings.

Save Charlie for a son. Smile
