It's the first cut of the shortlist for DC2, no H names as will have H surname. Any new suggestions welcome (particularly for boys, I'm really struggling):

Girls-
Lois
Elena
Esther
Claudia
Zara
Sylvie
Freya
Matilda
Flora
Imogen
Alexa
Margot

Boys-
Marcus
Laurence
Struan
Elliott
Jude
Blair
Innes

Thank you so much for your help!!

I I used to nanny an Imogen but she was always called Immi, she was tiny so she suited Immi not Imogen,I'm not keen on the sound actually . Your other girl names are ok.

I don't like the sound of the name Struan is it English? Maybe pronounced differently? Or Blair, named after a very unpopular prime minister!!?? Jude is short for Judith I thought, or Julian I suppose.

Zara and lois, Jude and Struan - really love that

Girls names I love Imogen. It doesn't seem very common where I live at all which is maybe why I like it. It also reminds me of my favourite Jilly Cooper novel. Smile I agree that Flora is also pretty name though.
Boys, I love Struan and Elliot.

From the girls I love Flora. It is simple but still feminine and pretty. Plus I like it when a name has a good namesake!:) I really like Zara as well. Well, I actually like pretty much evertything your list. The only girls' name I personally don't like is the name Imogen. It doesn't sound nice (IMO) and there seem to be so manny little Imogens currently...

My absolutely favourite boy name on your list (and one of my favourites in general) is Blair. I also really like Blaise and Laurence. I personally do not like Jude. I know how it's pronounced in English, but my first language is a form of German (but I'm not from Germany) and I just looks so so weird to me as a name... Sorry.
