Wolf?

As a name for a boy, nn Wolfie.....

Other DC have slightly unusual names.

Is it too weird?

it is a dog's name really as 'wolf' or 'wolfie'
child will probably hate it in later life.

I know grown up Wulfric and Ulric. They both go by Ric and don't like talking about their long names....

There was a toddler Wolf at DD's music group last week. Really didn't suit him; stupid name.

Wulfric, maybe. Problem with Wolf is that your child might grow up to be polite, plump and placid.

I like it! I'm surprised at all the negativity tbh. Miles better than all the ghastly old-fashioned out-of-fashion-for-a-reason names than MN love so much.

I wouldn't choose Wolf of any spelling for one of mine that's for sure...... I have very boring names for mine, very safe though......

If you like Starla, maybe you would like Skylar? As in Skylar Astin from Pitch Perfect...... That's a boys name (just in case anyone doesn't know the actor or the film).

I wanted to use Wolf as a middle name for ds, dh refused to have the conversation with me and said I was too pregnant to make a rational decision. Roll on to a week or so after the birth when we went to register ds and I was horrified at the idea of Wolf and perfectly happy with James.

Is this a name you would have considered pre pregnancy? Was it on the list for other dc?

Maybe get a few others on your shortlist in case you change your mind.

Adore Wolf (but have very left field names for my own... Tiger is a definite if we have another, boy or girl)
