Total toff/posh boys names anyone?

I really like them! But, the ones I can think of have to many fault, despite my love for them.

Piers - reminds me too much of Piers Morgan

Rupert - Reminds me of Rupert the bear, plus, you can only shorten it to Roo!

Any ideas?

I work at a particularly nice private school, and half the suggested names are names of pupils there! Possibly the poshest child I know is called Montague.

I came across a Joachim (joe) the other day and thought that sounded unusual and very posh - and had a nice shortening!
Hugh is a great name.

Inigo is the English form of Ignatius. Just as Austin used to be of Augustine. And Benet of Benedict.

I think it would be unfortunate, myself, but a fave Victorian name was Adolphus. Dolph or Dolly as nn
Cecil. ( sometimes pronounced Sees'l)
Jasper, pronounced Jah-sper
Then there's the habit from the 18th century of turning surnames into first names. ( hence Howard if you were one if them)

I have an Arthur and am seriously considering Rupert if this pregnancy turns out to be a boy. I love the idea of a baby Roo! My DH loves Algernon (I think he is teasing...)and I named our pet tortoise horatio just so he couldn't suggest it for a future name!!
