I really like Orla Jean. Isla Jean not sure.

Talitha or Talia (would become Talie here) also nice and work with Jean.

I have my gran's name as my middle name, it's nice.

Dripdrop · 21/06/2016 19:00

Love them all except talia

IoraRua · 21/06/2016 18:55

Orla - lovely, bit blah to me as I'm Irish and it's a name of my generation, but that's no issue abroad I imagine.
Talia - nice
Willow - I like but can never get past the "what if she's dumpy?" question personally.
Aurelia - lovely
Isla - bit bland
Aurora - nicer on paper than it is in reality

Ilovewillow · 20/06/2016 22:31

Willow is my favourite obviously! Orla was on my list too. I also now an Iona which is less common than Isla which is also lovely!

blinkowl · 17/06/2016 20:31

Talitha and Talia are lovely, as is Orla.

Tana is a great but underused name IMO, just in case you're open to new suggestions!

Gracey79 · 17/06/2016 20:30

I love aurora in theory but it sounds terrible with my northern accent

Evelyn2405 · 17/06/2016 20:27

Gorgeous list! Aurelia is my fave

user1459464195 · 17/06/2016 20:24

Talia and Talitha are gorgeous. Willow is fairly popular and it seems every girl in the South East not called Evie is called Isla...

Aurelia is pretty but quite a mouthful. I'd go with Talitha - stunning!

someonescj · 16/06/2016 21:00

I love Orla and Isla

Dizzydodo · 11/06/2016 07:44

Aurora makes me think of sleeping beauty, Aurelia is a bit of a mouthful. I like all the others, Talia and Orla are my favourites.

Tricerasaurus · 11/06/2016 07:43

I love Talitha. I like Talia too. Aurelia is great.

Willow is common around here. Isla is super popular.

Orla is sweet but v Irish so if expect some Irish connection.

FlossiesFurCoat · 11/06/2016 07:40

Posted too soon.

Orla or Aurora would be my favourites.

FlossiesFurCoat · 11/06/2016 07:39

Love love love all the names except Aurelia, which as another post said brings to mind an ear complaint.

Just5minswithDacre · 11/06/2016 02:11

Talia is gorgeous.

Aurelia is all kinds of awful.

They're not in the same category at all IMO.

Laquila · 11/06/2016 02:08

Talitha is gorgeous. Would you pronounce Talia as TAL-ee-ya or TARL-ee-ya?

I think I like Orla best from your original list, then Willow.

julfin · 11/06/2016 02:01

I have only ever met two Orlas and Talias in my whole life, and no Talithas or Aurelias. They are all lovely names, and they would all go superbly with Jean. Willow for some reason doesn't sound right with Jean.

tilder · 11/06/2016 00:11

Aurelia is a kind of jellyfish.

Floralnomad · 11/06/2016 00:09

I think Talia and Talitha both work OK with Jean - willow does not .

needtomovesomewherewarmer · 11/06/2016 00:00

Aghh i do love Aurelia though . And the nn options. dh will never agree i don't think!!

Waitrose really?? We have a few Islas around here but I have only met one Orla (an older work colleague some years ago from somewhere else in Europe) and not a single Willow....

PippaFawcett · 10/06/2016 23:54

Orla!

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup · 10/06/2016 23:47

Aurelia is utterly beautiful. One thousand Willows, Orlas and Islas here!

needtomovesomewherewarmer · 10/06/2016 23:25

Thanks for everyones comments . I really love Aurelia and have for years but the comments about it being a mouthful and incorrectly pronounced are my thoughts also. And dh isn't sold on it.

Isla dh and I both agree on and like a lot, but we also don't like it's popularity - possibly enough to veto it.

So a potentially shorter list is Orla , Talia (Dh prefers Talitha) or Willow (this is dh's least fav).

No fixed name for middle yet. If it works i'd like to use Jean after my nan. I thought for example Jean work work well with Isla - Isla Jean ........???

Orla.... Lovely lovely lovely.
I like Isla but it is super popular if that is something that bothers you.
