What does her name get shortened to? I'm hoping to avoid the ubiquitous 'Ellie'....

I teach 3 and none of them ever get shortened to anything.

FlyDragonfly1 · 02/06/2016 00:15

I know one, she gets called Ellie.

eatmytoes888 · 01/06/2016 19:52

I've known a few, never been shortened to Elle or Ellie. Pretty name!

Woodenmouse · 01/06/2016 19:33

I knew 2 neither one was shortened

Hurricane99 · 01/06/2016 19:30

I know one who is just called Elouise, no shortening

Others I've know have been Lou. I don't know any shortened to Elle

I'm a 30 year old Eloise. I used to hate it as a child and so insisted on Lou. People I've met post around 18 years old call me Eloise and I much prefer this now.

calamityjam · 01/06/2016 18:58

Dd is called Elle for short or Ellie but hates Eloise, I love it still she's 13

mrsclooneytoyou · 01/06/2016 18:58

Lou

FoxesSitOnBoxes · 01/06/2016 18:56

I know an Elouisa who gets Elouisa (which in my mind is a mash-up of Elouise and Louisa but not an actual name)

Just5minswithDacre · 01/06/2016 18:55

I know a very elegant Heloise who is only ever Heloise.

yellowbirdie · 01/06/2016 18:52

I know an Eloisa and it is shortened to Lou

Owlytellsmesecrets · 01/06/2016 17:15

LongChalk · 01/06/2016 17:01

The one I know is Ellie but her parents chose Eloise as they wanted a name they could shorten to Ellie! Grin
Mind you, she's 12.

wonkylegs · 01/06/2016 17:00

The one I know is never shortened

Normandy144 · 01/06/2016 16:59
