Name for Rowan's sibling

Suggestions and thoughts please on the following:

Fern/Maisie/Lola for a first name, Isabel/Astrid/Beatrix for a middle name.

Kit/Oscar for a first name, Harry/Benjamin for a middle name. We're more stuck for boys names than girls this time around Sad

Worth mentioning that they will have a four syllable double barrelled surname too. So there's potential to be a bit of a mouthful Shock

Marnie Also means 'of the sea' so still a nature theme. It's a name I love

Nameless tes, we are tripping over Jago's down here, they are 10 a penny! Nice name though.
Oooh interesting pieceofpurple Marnie has been on and off my list a few times! I really like it a lot, partly because I'm a Hitchcock fan, but it's a very pretty name that I don't ever come across. Not sure my partner will go for it though.

There is a huge amount of folklore around the Rowan tree. It is associated with health and resilience, and ironically was planted around villages to keep witches away!

Good luck with the next one. A Halloween baby (Samhain) is no bad thing!

Thanks sashh and wiccamum no, neither of us are pagan. We just love nature and the outdoors, and my partner has a special soft spot for trees generally. We both just loved the name Rowan but I was also interested in some of the folklore around the Rowan tree, which grow quite abundantly not far from our home and where I originally come from in Wales. But R was born on the summer solstice, so he's our sunshine baby really Smile
I've got a funny feeling the next one is going to pop out on halloween!

I have a Rowan. As you can tell from my name, I am pagan. My DD was conceived in the Rowan month (pagan calendar) hence the name. Birch and Oak are popular boys names....but can be a bit "out there" for some.

Willow, myrtle and ash also popular.

It means sea sprite, it was also the name of the daughter of the British ambassador to Russia during the revolution, and one of his wife's middle names.

Longchalk I think you're right about balancing a short name with a longer one. Surname will be two 2-syllable surnames, double barrelled.

We have a Kit. He's Kit Alexander. I think it needs a longer mn but your surname might change that or in fact do that for you.
So Kit Smith would be a no for me but Kit Smith-Jacobson sounds ace.

I have toyed with Willow, but I can't shake Buffy the Vampire Slayer from my mind Hmm But we did originally think we'd go with another 'nature name' hence Fern being on the list. We also looked at things like Poppy and Fleur. We keep coming back to Fern, so I think it's a strong favourite. And I don't know any Ferns, bonus!
We got stuck for another good boys nature name though.

leonie I love Rufus and Raphael! But we would have 3 'R' names in the family, and only my partner without. We'd be a poor man's Kardashians Grin I'm trying to avoid R names so it's sods law that I love loads of them.
