Lara or cara

Hi what do people think of these 2 names? Am drawn to the Irish connection with cara but think that Lara has a softer sound. Thanks!

Both lovely, but would probably go for Cara, it's a bit softer sounding.

I prefer Lara but both are lovely.

Also love Zara and Mara. For some weird reason I'm indifferent to Sara and Tara.

I love Lara but Cara is a bit mousy and dowdy, IMO.

Carla!
Cara is too hard and makes me think of cars. Lara is too soft and wishy-washy. Clara is nice but a bit prim (think I've got that from Heidi). Carla has the strength of the C followed by the softness of the L.
Now, go forth, ignore me, and do as you wish 😉

I prefer Cara (a good Latin name, and pretty). But both are nice.

Thanks for the feedback - really interestung. For some reason Clara doesn't do it for me. I'm currently completely split between the 2!

Clara. Whenever I see Clara I read it as Clara anyway, and when I hear cara it sound awkward like the L is missing.

Hmmm not keen on Lara I think it sounds harsh. I would go for Clara over Cara.
