Boys Name we have loads

Ok so I like unusual names so if you don't you won't like any of these. I know that our name choices are very marmite.

I am pregnant with ds4 and this time around we are really struggling. So far we have an Evan, Clayton & Teddy.

Names we like are:
Bowie
Rafferty
Albie
Tate

Today we had FIL and DHs step mum over for dinner. We spoke about names and she said her dad was called Monty. I quite like it although our surname starts with an M but I think it goes well. I know that people may say about the dog thing but I get that with my son Teddy anyway. What do you think?

Cookies thank you.

We asked the ds yesterday which name they like. Ds1 likes Albie, ds2 likes Monty, DH likes Bowie and my fave is Rafferty. This poor boy is going to end up nameless for a while I think. It will be the first time ever as we've always had a definite name and luckily the baby has always suited it.

Albie or monty. I quite like Tate but I think Bowie is a bit try hard.

Ilovewillow · 02/05/2016 19:16

Rafferty and Monty are my favs!

Enkopkaffetak · 02/05/2016 19:11

I LOVE Tate and have for ages.. Month is nice enough too// I don't mind Albie or Raffety but I think Bowie will get asked if you named after David..

Cookiesandcoffee · 02/05/2016 09:01

Waves to beautician I vote Rafferty over Monty. Dog associations for me too I'm afraid. Don't let that stop you if you love it. I haven't really heard of Albie before and I think I prefer Rafferty over all the others Smile

RiverTam · 02/05/2016 08:49

I wouldn't go for Bowie. I don't know about other people but I spend his entire life unsure how to pronounce it, and hearing different pronunciations on the radio.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 02/05/2016 06:48

Anymore opinions it's so close that I still don't know which one to go for. DH keeps changing his mind two. It's difficult having 4 of the same sex when it comes to names aargh

I think Rafferty goes best with your sons names

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 01/05/2016 20:17

Eek it's so close. I've added up the votes Grin
Albie 8
Rafferty 7
Monty 7

Also like Albie and Monty.

sonlypuppyfat · 01/05/2016 19:53

My friends dad kept loads of rabbits, they were all called Monty

TooManyJars · 01/05/2016 19:52

Love Rafferty!

RiverTam · 01/05/2016 19:49

Rafferty or Tate.

Noodlebugs1981 · 01/05/2016 19:43

Rafferty is absolutely gorgeous!! Name jealously Grin

DramaAlpaca · 01/05/2016 19:15

I like Rafferty & Monty with your other boys' names.

TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 01/05/2016 19:09

albertcampionscat · 01/05/2016 19:06

Tate by a long way.

LadyAntonella · 01/05/2016 19:03

Oops sorry OP - missed the part where you said you already have a Teddy! Blush. It's a good job I said I like it!!! Smile

thumb3lina · 01/05/2016 18:44

Pepsioften100 · 01/05/2016 18:42

Rafferty and albie/Albert
I like monty but there is a dog association for me.
Others are a no for me
Smile

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 01/05/2016 18:34

Ah thank you so much for all the replies. Massive Bowie fan and its DHs fave but as much as I like a different name I don't want the boy to be teased.

Glad to see some good reactions to Monty. We really like it I've never heard it before and those are the types of names I love. I think it goes quite well with his brothers name Teddy. I don't have to call out to the older boys much as they are 11 & 9 so mostly play computer games/board games/read in their stinky bedrooms Grin

I say it like that maita!

ANewLittleBoy · 01/05/2016 18:14

I think my favourite is Monty Smile

maitaimojito · 01/05/2016 18:08

I prefer Tate from those you have listed.

I think with Albie you'd need Albert on the BC as Albie might be a bit babyish once he's a teen/adult.

Bowie is ok if you're a fan but I think it would annoy me with the two different pronunciations (some people say bow as in crossbow and some say it as in take a bow.
