Just want to run it past a few strangers Smile

Heavenly Joy sounds like something from a hymn to me.

If you want an obviously Christian name, what about Evangeline?

BisherBasherBosher · 27/04/2016 07:45

You're joking right? Hmm

RitaCrudgington · 27/04/2016 07:45

I like names like this, it always cheers me up when I bump into a middle aged Ghanaian lady called Precious or whatever. I'd do a bit or a double take if I met a WASP child called Heavenly though - not bad, just unexpected.

Whattodiddlydo · 27/04/2016 07:44

Don't like Heavenly, sorry OP!

cosmicglittergirl · 27/04/2016 07:43

No. Unless you like the ultra religious, Deep South vibe.

wineandcheeseplease · 27/04/2016 07:37

I can't imagine calling anyone Heavenly. It's more of a word to describe not name

FeckOfffCup · 27/04/2016 07:20

It's a bit OTT in my opinion, sorry OP. Joy is nice though.

HildurOdegard · 27/04/2016 07:17

Do you know what? I absolutely fucking love it OP and I'm usually of the Katie Hopkins school of thought for baby names. Big thumbs up from me and personally I'd love to answer the phone with a "heavenly jones, yes, I was just reading your brief...". Smile

Artandco · 27/04/2016 07:11

Evelyn Joy sounds similar

LadyAntonella · 27/04/2016 07:11

Joy is nice.

I don't want to be nasty but Heavenly just sounds a bit silly to me. I used to work with a Blessing and a Prince (both Nigerian if that matters). "Hi, I'm Prince / Blessing" sounded like an introduction. Can you imagine having to say "hi, I'm Heavenly"? It's like saying "hi, I'm wonderful". Mind you Rich is an accepted nn I guess, but still.

Artandco · 27/04/2016 07:11

No, that's a terrible burden for a child

Estella Joy
Hera Joy
Helena Joy

VinceNoirLovesHowardMoon · 27/04/2016 07:02

You can't call a baby heavenly.

HeteronormativeHaybales · 27/04/2016 07:02

Oh, Celeste is pretty ^^

ChubbyPolecat · 27/04/2016 07:01

Awful name. Even if it is cultural there must be something better you could choose

HeteronormativeHaybales · 27/04/2016 07:00

Please don't.

If you want a 'heavenly' theme, how about Aurora/Zoe (both meaning 'dawn'), Lucia/Clara ('light'), Seraphina (sounds like seraphim), Claudia pronounced cloudier Wink , gawd even Skye would be better than Heavenly.

Or Felicity Joy? (Joy is nice, btw).

Sophronia · 27/04/2016 06:58

Joy is nice. Heavenly is awful, sorry.

CoolforKittyCats · 27/04/2016 05:56

I like Joy but not Heavenly.

Way ott for me.

Sorry.

TheDowagerCuntess · 27/04/2016 05:38

Unless there's a cultural reason for choosing it, it's really not great. Joy is lovely.

PunkrockerGirl · 27/04/2016 05:24

Awful. Poor child.

wizzywig · 27/04/2016 05:12

Umm no. But obviously its your choice

Luc28 · 27/04/2016 04:51

Joy is lovely but unsure of it with heavenly... Sorry! Could you not look for a name that meant 'heavenly' www.baby-names-meanings.net/meaning/heaven.html
