I wouldnt use it, but it makes me think of the lovely midwife who was looking after me when I was induced with dc3. She was Spanish and literally never stopped talking. Came to hunt me down in postnatal the next day to see me and baby.

No, its my Nanas name, she still hasn't forgiven no one can hold a grudge like a Patricia Grin my mum for using it as a middle name for my sister, neither has my sister.

Am afraid Patricia is lumped into the nun names for me. Patricia will tell your mum your skirt's too short, you've been snogging boys at the youthclub, there's a whiff of smoke about you, you chew gum.

I think it sounds good, haven't met any young ones, the odd Trish or Tricia in their 50s. My aunt is one & in her late 70s (born 17 March).

I rather like it. I'd probably go for Patsy as the shortened version. It's better imo than Vivienne and Sylvia, which according to Mn, are pretty names.

No, it's dreadful. It's so dated now and not in a good way. Growing up in Ireland loads of my friends' mums were called Patricia, they'd all be in their 60's now. Not due a revival.
