Tell me what name you would like for yourself. And maybe your partner. So I can hear some names that work beyond the baby years. Thank you.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I love my name. It wasn't popular at all when I was a kid - 1980s - but it's a top 20 girls name now.
I always did love the name Lisa though.

MissHooliesCardigan · 14/04/2016 15:07

Francesca, Chez for short.
Or Madeleine which is DD's name although she generally goes by Maddy which I love as well.

JeanGenie23 · 14/04/2016 15:04

I'm called Adele, a name my dad picked but my mum wanted to call me Deliah, I'm glad my dad won that.

Dp was nearly Harry after one of this GPs, but his mum went with another top 10 name. I'm pretty sure his name has Always been in the top 10 list:

BlueRocksPinkPebbles · 14/04/2016 15:02

Catherine / Katie

VagueIdeas · 14/04/2016 14:59

I wish I had a timeless name, instead of one that dates me to being circa 35 years old.

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 14/04/2016 14:58

Samantha. I don't know why.

ParsleyTheLion1 · 14/04/2016 14:57

Or Peplo, which is in fact my middle name. And has been a name in my family for generations (form of the Scottish surname Peploe). My mum wanted it as my first name but dad overrode it

ParsleyTheLion1 · 14/04/2016 14:56

Iris

stumblymonkey · 14/04/2016 13:00

I'm a 1980's Sarah...I don't mind my name but when I was younger I wanted something a little more exotic.

I very much wanted to be called Estella the beautiful but cold one from Great Expectations

Now I'd choose something like Evelyn nn Evie so I could have a 'professional' name and familiar name

TippyTappyLappyToppy · 14/04/2016 12:18

I'm a Jane which is fine but boring and there two others in my class at school. I would love to be Georgina or Genevieve or Paloma or something romantic sounding. Failing that you can't go wrong with Emma or Anna, they don't need to be shortened never go out of style and sound fine in any accent.

Thewolfsjustapuppy · 14/04/2016 12:12

Demelza
I like a good strong unusual name.

TheScottishPlay · 14/04/2016 12:11

I really like mine. It's solid, known but not hugely widely used.
It's the same as my DM's though so at almost 44 I'm still 'Little ....' but thankfully never 'Babe....' though that might be most apt.Smile

Zadocthepriest · 14/04/2016 12:03

Anything short. Mine has been shortened by everyone once I left the family home, where it wasn't allowed. Long names are too long to slip into a conversation so tend not to get used at all. But now I am attending hospital regularly I get the full version and hate it. It's not ME

I fancy Julie!

Misssss · 14/04/2016 06:51

I adore my name, but hated it as a child. The only name is swap it for is Genevieve. It's just beautiful, looks great written down, and the nickname opportunities are limitless.

annandale · 14/04/2016 06:18

I adore my name so wouldn't change it but I will always have a huge soft spot for Alison. It was pretty popular when I was born and I have always loved it, associate it with cool organised longhaired girls.

Raines100 · 14/04/2016 06:13

Katherine nn Katie as a child, Kate now.
Or I wouldn't mind being called Alicia (Ali-see-a) or Adela. That would satisfy my desire to have a more exotic name but still retain the first initial of my rl name to which I've grown rather attached Grin

Elllicam · 14/04/2016 01:42

I actually do like Angharad. I'd call myself Harry :) Otherwise I like Elizabeth (Beth) or Annabel.

SpecialNonOperations · 14/04/2016 01:28

I'm a Sydney .
I think it's a stripper name.
I would loved to have been a Martha.

Izzyathome · 14/04/2016 01:07

Georgia or Julia. (My actual name used to be really old fashioned but now it's all the rage for 6 yr olds, so you never know when you will be back 'in fashion'!)

sandgrown · 13/04/2016 21:53

I wanted to be Francesca. I even wrote it in all my schoolbooks!

GiraffeHouse · 13/04/2016 21:50

Love my name, wouldn't choose anything else!

sonlypuppyfat · 13/04/2016 21:50

Angharad Grin

CanadaMoose · 13/04/2016 21:49

I always thought I'd make a decent Rachel.
For a partner, I like Leo.

AngharadTheSplendid · 13/04/2016 21:37

Sonlypuppyfat Smile

sonlypuppyfat · 13/04/2016 18:05

Angharad, wouldn't that be glamorous
