Irish girls names - really stumped!

DS has an Irish name so this next bean that's coming along probably should vaguely match.

Boys names are fine -Irish boys names are cool!

Irish girls names on the other hand are proving impossible!

They are either names I went to school with & so have all 1980s schoolfriend associations (Emer, Ciara, Neasa, Orla etc)

Or are names that are chock full of dh, bh, mh etc. Not for me, tbh.

Are there any that are cool and modern and sleek sounding?

At the moment the only one I'm really liking is Cara, but I'm not madly in love with it or anything and I'd like more options!

(By the way at this stage am also thinking "vaguely celtic-y" will do too, as I'm really stumped)

Not typical Irish names (we are Irish) but...

Sabina - have several of those in my family but previous generation (not Sabrina)
Honoria (Honor, Nonnie, Ria) - also have a few of those

Moya is nice. But worried everyone would go "sorry - Moira did you say?"

But that's probably just my nutty pregnant brain talking.

Mairead is a bit of an old fashioned name, yeah. Maybe it's due a comeback but not with me! Went to school with several - also had a nun Sr. Mairead. The horror!

A friend had a baby girl last year and called her Clodagh. I really like it.

I met a little Mairead recently. All the other mums of little ones had name envy about how cute it was.

Im not Irish so no idea if it's 80's throwback.

Caraiosa is lovely, but I suspect DH may object to the whole "friend of Jesus" thing, being an atheist! Grin

Shame, as it's a good one.

He's also vetoed Ceola which I was briefly excited about as it's unusual and easy to spell. He says it sounds like "YOLO"!

I've always liked Aisling, Aoibhe and Finola, which aren't too horrendous spelling-wise.
