Welsh Girls Name Needed.

I'm in need of a name for DD2 due in July and me and DH can't seem to agree on any so far. I thought I'd seen them all but there might be something I'm missing.

It needs to be Welsh, not to difficult to pronounce, I can't roll my R's and sometimes struggle with the dd (th) sound, not always though. DH is the Welsh one, not me.

DD1 is Celyn but I don't want a rhymey name for DD2 so that makes it even more difficult. Our surname is H, so I don't really want a H name either.

I love Erin but it's too close to Celyn. I like Ffion, Nia and Gwen but DH seems to like the more 'out there' names. I can't even remember how to pronounce his current favourite, it was a bit like Gwyneth, but more of a mouth full.

We both like Meri, but wondering if there is something else.

My head is puddled. Please help :)

I always found it much harder to think of Welsh girls names I like than boys names for some reason

Oh, just read back properly - Seren does appear to be a Welsh name and in fact both have already been suggested! Not that helpful, sorry!

I knew a Cariad once (nn Carrie) which I think means "beloved". Always thought that was a lovely name.

I also love Seren. Although come to think of it, I don't know if that's a Welsh name.

Alys (pronounced like the English Alice. Beautiful name. Sorry I can't remember if you said that you're living in Wales or that your Dh is Welsh and you're living in England. Only reason I mention that is that if you're in England people might pronounce it Al-ees instead and you/she would have to correct them).

We are trying to decide on a Welsh girls name too, but for a middle name. There have been lots of lovely suggestions so far and the only ones I haven't seen yet (I think!) that I also like are Siriol and Seren.

longdiling Taran does mean thunder. I assume that is why colloquially used for fat, like thunder pants.

Also don't see why Deryn or Aderyn, is out there.

Might not help as we live in England so my criteria was a little tougher (my dh is a Geraint and even that is too Welsh for some in our area to pronounce).

Taran means thunder in this part of Wales! Never heard it being used for fart.

I love the name Eilonwy

To me it's very pretty, fairly easy to pronounce (compared to other welsh names i have seen) and not similar or rhymey to your DD1

It's not that I'm unfamiliar with them, I have lived in Wales for longer than I haven't.

I struggle with some speech making it more difficult//////.

I want DD2 to have a welsh name like her sister.

Why does it NEED to be Welsh if you are not? Surely if you like a non-Welsh name you should use that ( especially if you are unsure/ unfamiliar with them).
