I've got 25 boy names, all which DH agrees to! It would have been so easy!

Daughterrr · 24/03/2016 23:25

No! I'm really not in search of a unique name! I'd rather stick with the original plan Grin

Rosanna Fern

I don't think there's anything wrong with it!

Only you beat me to it! I think Yasmin is the only acceptable spelling.

Katarzyna79 · 24/03/2016 23:24

U weird op lol dont worry i have my odd issues too ;) at least u have a name im stuck for muslim girls names dont seem to like anything or my furst cousins or sils have used ones i liked and would get offended if i used them which is stupid so im being cautious.

Only1scoop · 24/03/2016 23:23

My friend Yasmin is of Persian/iranian heritage Kat

AliceThrewTheFookingGlass · 24/03/2016 23:13

As someone with a name with an alternative spelling I would say absolutely do not fuck about with the spelling of names. I cannot begin to explain who fucking irritating it is to have to spell my name each time it's asked for form etc.

Katarzyna79 · 24/03/2016 23:13

yasmin is a common muslim persian name used by arabs too. I gyess ive heard it too much so not sure. But i have a friend who named her baby yasmina which is acderivative of the same name i think it sounds sweet yasmina.

i prefer jasmine over yasmin but i dobt like nn yaz or jazz reminds mw of the singer yaz remember her?"the only way is up" i cant get her image out my mind. On totp really tall slim in lwggings baggy shirt big hat and going bonkers to that song. I do hum it in my head when i hear yasmin or jasmine ;)

Only1scoop · 24/03/2016 23:09

Yazmin looks very tacky IMO

Yasmin is ok

I guess the only way is up....baby Grin

mrsschu · 24/03/2016 23:07

Don't like the name. The spelling is awful - just go with Yasmin. Yasmine is also a bad spelling.

elephantoverthehill · 24/03/2016 23:03

I am a grumpy old cow. I have to take registers. Just don't.

Micah · 24/03/2016 23:01

It's a Contraceptive pill, sorry.

Daughterrr · 24/03/2016 22:59

I was watching a YouTube video; the little girl was called 'Yazmyn'. I hadn't even thought of another spelling!

Not sure I like the look of Yasmin - would Yazmine be okay? Smile

OP posts:
Only1scoop · 24/03/2016 22:58

Yasmine

DraenorQueen · 24/03/2016 22:58

Yasmin is ok but Yazmyn sounds a bit porn star.

ExtraHotLatteToGo · 24/03/2016 22:57

No.

Yasmin
Jasmine

If you really like it, which I don't, but she's not my DD.

Yazmyn looks like the letters on an optomitrists board or like a cat is walking across your keyboard.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 24/03/2016 22:57

That spelling is awful.

EssentialHummus · 24/03/2016 22:57

Another vote for Yasmin.
