You can get them in hipster style sandwich joints. It's worth braving the beards and the Victoriana just for a taste of a good Reuben.

Only had one in NY, can't find them here. Why is that?

squoosh · 15/03/2016 15:31

Yes it is a mighty fine sandwich it has to be said!

It is both a Jewish and Christian Name. I think it is lovely. But tends to get shortened to Ben or Ruby.

People that I have met called Reuben have always been very nice!

Best sandwich ever

Stumbleine · 15/03/2016 15:24

I have a 9 year old Reuben. We are not Jewish. Back in 2006 it wasn't very popular but I'm hearing of quite a few recently.

Bluesand1 · 15/03/2016 14:35

I know of 2 and none are Jewish

squoosh · 15/03/2016 14:09

Ten years ago I'd have assumed a Reuben was Jewish but not any more.

guerre · 15/03/2016 14:07

I would assume you were Jewish. I don't know any Reubens.

RudeElf · 15/03/2016 14:06

Reminds me of a bruised rash, sorry. However very popular among mums where I live.
