Elodie
Elouise
Elise
Eleanor/Elinor
Ellen
Elle

Sorry, not convinced. Another vote for Elodie though, that's very pretty.

BabyGirl12345 · 15/03/2016 13:57

I just feel like there's something quirky about Elliotte for a girl - Elliot reminds me of a last name (Billy Elliot) and Elliott is too masculine!

Makes me think of deloitte

Coldtoeswarmheart · 15/03/2016 13:56

It's a boy's name to me.

Elodie is lovely, however.

NoSquirrels · 15/03/2016 13:56

I think many people will assume it is a boy's name, and that it's been misused - and you may need to do a lot of explaining when your baby is small and looks unisex! So depends if that would annoy you.

For me, if I was going to use Ellie as a NN, I would go for one of the more traditional longer forms.

It's one of my all-time faves for a boy, though.

JanetOfTheApes · 15/03/2016 13:55

Or Elodie?

Potterwolfie · 15/03/2016 13:54

I love it as a boy's name but written as above it feels like it has way too many letters. If I was to use it for a girl or boy I'd spell it Elliot. What about Eloise as an alternative?

SecretlyChartreuse · 15/03/2016 13:54

Looks too much like Toilette to me.

BabyGirl12345 · 15/03/2016 13:53

Her NN could be Ellie too Smile

I don't like it sorry. I prefer the traditional spelling and I'm not really a fan of it for a girl.

Clunky. Sounds like a made up girly version of a boys name. Plus when you google it you get canadian men, not ladies.
