Twin name to go with Agnes

Dovinia · 14/03/2016 20:09

This is hypothetical at the moment, but I've come to a compromise with DH that if third baby is twin girls we will name one of them Agnes - his mum's name. I don't like the name Agnes but this is what we've agreed to.

Obviously ideally we won't have twin girls now, but if we do what names would go well?

My ex-mil's twin is called Agnes, she's Mina (short for Williamina).... No I didn't think that would appeal!

CrystalGlitz · 14/03/2016 21:15

Mary
Edith

Minisoksmakehardwork · 14/03/2016 21:01

Margo and Edith are Agnes' sisters in Despicsble Me.

ChubbyPolecat · 14/03/2016 20:56

Agnes is going to grow up thinking you hated her especially if you don't give her sister an equally ugly name. Can you compromise with a middle name?

caker · 14/03/2016 20:54

Beatrice

Enid

But I don't think you should be forced to accept a name you don't like.

I actually like Maude. And Audrey. Kind of ugly-cool?

With both our children we agreed on a boys' name, and I vetoed Agnes for a girls name. By the time we get to the 3rd DH is getting a bit stroppy that I'm vetoing Agnes again so I have conceded that if we have two girls, we'll name one each Hmm
